You can use any kind of insert to stuff your pocket diapers: bumGenius inserts, Hemp Stuffins, a prefold, or old towels! Some inserts are more absorbent than others, and some inserts are more bulky than others. We have rated different inserts, and you can see the results here. Hemp is 50% more absorbent than cotton and makes a great insert for heavy wetters.

Fleece and silk liners are used inside of a diaper to keep your baby's skin dry. A flushable liner is used inside of a diaper to make clean-up easier.

Fleece and silk liners are used inside of a diaper to keep your baby's skin dry: when your baby wets, the moisture travels through the liner and is absorbed by the diaper under the liner. Then, the liner dries, keeping a barrier between the wet diaper and your baby's skin. Babies with sensitive skin often need a liner.
Flushable liners are made of rice paper or are wood based. When a diaper is soiled, you can simply remove the liner and flush it down the toilet. Flushable liners are a fantastic invention that keeps clean-up simple and quick!
