This is Swaddlebee's most luxurious fitted diaper and stays soft
wash after wash - they are like butter! (You can read some reviews
here.) These diapers fit great and are trim. They are made with 2
full layers of organic cotton velour and a hidden full layer of hemp
jersey. Each diaper comes with an attached quick-dry soaker
composed of 2 layers of hemp french terry topped with another layer
of organic cotton velour. Colored diapers come with just the outer
layer dyed with low-impact environmentally friendly dyes, and all
layers next to the baby's skin are undyed and organic.

This diaper is not waterproof and will require a cover. Colored
diapers are colorfast and can be washed together with your white
diapers without the colors bleeding.

Our Experience

Three words describe this diaper: soft, trim, and
luxurious! One can't help oohing and aahing over it's
softness when you pull it out of the box. These diapers,
like all Swaddlebees, give a nice trim fit. The
side-snapping design provides a great fit for most
babies, especially those with large thighs. The sewn in
doubler dries quickly, but means you won't have to hunt
through the dryer to match up doublers to snap back into
diapers. These diapers are "squishy soft" and have great
stretch to them.

1. Can my heavy wetter baby use this?

Absolutely! This diaper has 6 layers of absorbency
where your baby needs it. For extra absorbency during
naps or for overnight use, simply slip a doubler or one of
our inserts underneath the attached soaker pad.

2. Why do you use a combination of cotton & hemp
fabrics?

Swaddlebees uses cotton knit fabrics for the exterior of
the diaper, and the interior that touches the baby's skin
for its softness and its ability to quickly absorb wetness.
Hemp is used for 3 reasons: absorbency, durability & its
anti-microbial properties. Because it absorbs four times
more than cotton alone, hemp fabrics are widely known
to be one of the most absorbent materials used for
diapering. It is also more durable than cotton and can
help your diaper last longer. Its natural anti-microbial
properties ensures that your baby's diaper stays free
from mold, fungus, and bacteria that can cause diaper
rash.

3. Since this diaper has hemp, do I need to wash the
diaper several times before using?

Not necessarily. You can if you want to, but you simply
need to wash it once prior to first use and it's ready to go.

4. What kind of covers will work with this diaper?

Any diaper cover that you can use over a prefold will work
with this diaper.
