A five layer hemp French terry quick-dry insert designed
specifically to fit the unique contour of Swaddlebees
pocket diapers.  These inserts have the exact same
absorbency as the Swaddlebees microfiber terry inserts.

So what makes these different from the microfiber
inserts?  Hemp is an all natural fiber and can be used
directly on your baby's skin, as a doubler.

Our Experience

These inserts are especially narrow through the crotch
region and are made specifically to fit inside
Swaddlebees unique pocket diapers.  We know that the
manufacturer rates the Swaddlebees hemp inserts with
the same absorbency as the Swaddlebees microfiber
terry inserts, but we are able to go longer with the hemp
inserts.
General Care

Wash these inserts as you would your regular diapers.
How to prepare for first use

We recommend washing and drying these inserts four
times before using for the first time (that's wash - dry -
wash - dry - wash - dry - wash - dry).  Unbleached hemp
has natural oils in it that need to be removed before it
becomes absorbent.  It will take five or more washings
before it reaches its maximum absorbency.  

When washing these inserts the first few times do NOT
wash it with your fleece pocket diapers (like
Swaddlebees, bumGenius!, Happy Heiny's, or Fuzzi
Bunz).  The natural oils from the hemp will coat the
fleece, making it repel.  After your inserts have been fully
primed you may wash them with all of your diapering
products.
