A one-size hemp doubler made with 4 layers of organic
cotton/hemp fleece. 13 inches long and 3.5 inches wide,
it fits perfectly in between Swaddlebee's hemp inserts, or
underneath the quick-dry soakers of Swaddlebee's fitted
diapers. Expect some shrinkage in length.

Hemp is used with cloth diapers because of its amazing
ability to absorb and hold large amounts of liquids. This
can also make hemp take a long time to dry. However,
these inserts have a unique, open side design, that
allows them to dry quickly.

Doublers are used to boost the absorbency of your pocket
inserts, fitted diapers, or prefolds. These inserts are not
meant to be used alone as inserts in pocket diapers.

Our Experience

These doublers are fantastic! Narrow, yet thick enough to
add substantial absorbency. Great, quick drying time.
They work great for extra absorbency in any fitted or
pocket diaper, either for night time or for especially heavy
wetters.

General Care

Wash these inserts as you would your regular diapers.

How to prepare for first use

We recommend washing and drying these inserts four
times before using for the first time (that's wash - dry -
wash - dry - wash - dry - wash - dry). Unbleached hemp
has natural oils in it that need to be removed before it
becomes absorbent. It will take five or more washings
before it reaches its maximum absorbency.

When washing these inserts the first few times do NOT
wash it with your fleece pocket diapers (like
Swaddlebees, bumGenius!, Happy Heiny's, or Fuzzi
Bunz). The natural oils from the hemp will coat the
fleece, making it repel. After your inserts have been fully
primed you may wash them with all of your diapering
products.
