Stacinator Stretch Wool Diaper Covers
(Also called Day/Night covers.)
Our Price:
$21.95 each
These merino wool covers are STRETCHY and soft as a T-shirt... they
are considered by many to be the thinnest wool cover available.  They
are light enough to fit under clothes yet heavy enough to last all night.
They have two rows of snap to give a perfect fit for your baby, and the
snaps are reinforced for durability.

Note: These covers are the new "night/day" Stacinator covers, meaning
they are thicker than the previous "day" covers.

Wool allows your baby's skin to breathe, is warm in the winter, cool in
the summer, antimicrobial, and doesn't retain odors.  Wool comes
from a renewable resource (sheep!) and needs to be washed only
every 2 weeks or when soiled

Because these covers have such great stretch to them, you will be
able to use them past their maximum upper weight range.  For
example, most 25 lbs babies will still fit into a medium.  This
means you may be able to skip sizes.
About the Fabric

100% merino wool.
Our Experience

These covers are our favorite wool cover with snaps.  The
wool is very stretchy and gives a wonderfully trim fit -
probably the trimmest fit of any wool cover.  If you use
prefolds, the prefold should be snappied.  The wool is
soft and becomes softer each time you lanolize!  And they
come in such beautiful colors!
Color Choices
Due to difficulties in obtaining this wool, these diaper
covers are being discontinued!  We are sorry for the
inconvenience, but we will not be getting any more in.

General Care

Wool is so easy to care for.  It should be washed every
one to two weeks, or when soiled.  To keep it leak proof,
wool should be lanolized about once a month.
Stacinator wool covers must be hand-washed!

Washing
Hand wash with lukewarm water and a tablespoon of
Northern Essence wool wash.  Let sit for up to thirty
minutes.  Remove from water, roll in towel to dry,
squeeze out excess moisture, but do not rinse!  Hang or
lay flat to dry.  Do not rub or wring.

Lanolizing
Submerge the cover in a sink full of lukewarm water with
the inside facing up.  Take 1/2 teaspoon of lanolin, 1
teaspoon of your favorite baby soap, and place both in
1/2-1 cup of water and microwave until the lanolin is
runny (30-90 seconds).  Now shake the mixture until it
becomes a milky white color.  If there are still visible
globs of lanolin in the mixture, add more baby soap and
shake again until the lanolin is completely emulsified
and the mixture is milky white.  Pour over your cover.
Swish the cover around in the water, let it soak for 20-30
minutes, roll in towel to dry, squeeze out excess
moisture, but do not rinse.  Hang or lay flat until dry.

The inside of the cover will be sticky to the touch for the
first day or so.

How much lanolin you add depends on how long you
want to go before relanolizing.  The more lanolin you add
(up to 1 1/2 teaspoons), the more sticky the cover will be,
but the longer it will repel liquids.

Wool Wash Bar
Use a wool wash bar to clean off messes from your
wool cover instead of washing.  Just hang dry.
