About the Fabric

Our Experience
Hemp is 50% more absorbent than cotton, making it a
great insert for heavy wetters, or for night time. Because
it is so absorbent, it can be hard to wash clean and dry
thouroughly. That's no problem with these inserts,
though, since they are only two layers thick. (Unlike other
hemp inserts which can be seven layers thick, and don't
unfold for thorough washing and quick drying.) You fold
the insert in half, which gives four thirsty layers, and then
stuff. This hemp insert is softer and dries quicker than
other hemp inserts we've tried. We only carry hemp
made from hemp fleece, which is more absorbent and
softer than hemp jersey.
