Birdseye Weave Flat Diapers
Our Price:
$1.25 each
These old fashion diapers are made of soft 100% bleached
birdseye cotton, measure 27 x 27 inches, and are 1 layer
thick.   Each diaper weighs 2.6 oz, 25% heavier and thus
more absorbant than any brands found in chain stores that
we have sampled.

This is the original cloth diaper still used in Europe and
many other countries. These are a one size fits all diaper
that requires folding to properly fit baby, and can be
fastened either with pins or a snappi.  Because these
diapers are only one layer thick they dry quickly on your
clothes line or in your dryer.  If you have the patience and
pioneering spirit, using these diapers are far and away the
least expensive way to cloth diaper your baby.

These cloth diapers are also extremely popular as dish
towels, for baby spills, burp cloths, lap pads, changing
pads, bibs, and wash cloths.
Shown in picture folded over twice.
DETAILS
What makes these diapers so popular
  • One layer thick means they can be line dried
  • Super fast dry time in a dryer
  • One size cloth diaper
  • Most economical, versatile way to cloth diaper
Our Experience
These cloth diapers are the kind our grandparents used,
and are still used in Europe and many other countries.
They are extremely versatile and economical.  Since they
are the size and weight of a thin, oversized dish towel,
they must be folded several times, and then
pinned or
snappied to fit a baby.  Two will need to be used for older
babies.  These diapers are either for those who do not
have access to a dryer, or for the truly adventurous.  Keep
in mind that if you try a few, and decide they are not for
you, they have many other great uses.

General Care
Wash as you would your other diapers.  The big
advantage to these diapers is that they are thin, and only
one layer thick, so they can be line dried or dried in a very
short time in the dryer.
How to prepare for first use
We recommend washing and drying one time before first
use.
