Aristocrats Wool Longies
Our Price:
$47.95 each for Small
$51.95 each for Large
$55.95 each for X-Large
This beautifully knit wool cover from Aristocrats is high
quality, soft, and stretchy.  Thickly knit and double layered,
this is a reliable night time wool cover.  For a dry bed
they're hard to beat.

Untreated wool actually absorbs more than one third of its
weight in moisture before it begins to feel wet.  What's
more, wool, being completely breathable, maintains
normal body temperature - not too hot, not too cold -
thereby greatly reducing the risk of diaper rash
associated with heat and bacterial growth.

Wool doesn't retain odors, comes from a renewable
resource (sheep!) and needs to be washed only every 2
weeks or when soiled.

100% soft virgin (untreated) lambswool
Our Experience
These wool longies, like Aristocrats wool soakers, are
beautifully knit, thick, have soft gussets, and lasts through
the night!  Aristocrats wool longies are bulky, and often
too bulky to use during the day - but can't be beat for a dry
bed!  We recommend a super-absorbent diaper, like an
Under the Nile fitted, with a small hemp Stuffin and/or a
Mother of Eden Stay Dry Doubler to keep your baby
rash-free.  Then add an Aristocrats longie, and sleep dry
for 10+ hours!   They are so cute on (much cuter than
shown in the picture)!

Please note a small percentage of babies are
tremendous super-soakers and may leak through even
Aristocrats at night.  For the most leak-free diaper cover
available (after searching high and low!), we recommend
a
Stacinator Deluxe Fleece cover.  Stacinator Deluxe
Fleece covers are not all natural, though, like Aristocrats
wool longies.

General Care
Wool is so easy to care for.  It should be washed every
one to two weeks, or when soiled.  To keep it leak proof,
wool should be lanolized about once a month.
Aristocrats wool covers must be hand-washed!

Washing
Hand wash with lukewarm water and a tablespoon of
Northern Essence wool wash.  Let sit for up to thirty
minutes.  Remove from water, roll in towel to dry,
squeeze out excess moisture, but do not rinse!  Hang or
lay flat to dry.  Do not rub or wring.

Lanolizing
Submerge the cover, inside out, in a sink full of lukewarm
water.  Take 1/2 teaspoon of lanolin, 1 teaspoon of your
favorite baby soap, and place both in 1/2-1 cup of water
and microwave until the lanolin is runny (30-90
seconds).  Now shake the mixture until it becomes a
milky white color.  If there are still visible globs of lanolin
in the mixture, add more baby soap and shake again
until the lanolin is completely emulsified and the mixture
is milky white.  Pour over your cover.  Swish the cover
around in the water, let it soak for 20-30 minutes, roll in
towel to dry, squeeze out excess moisture, but do not
rinse.  Hang or lay flat until dry.

The inside of the cover will be sticky to the touch for the
first day or so.

How much lanolin you add depends on how long you
want to go before relanolizing.  The more lanolin you add
(up to 1 1/2 teaspoons), the more sticky the cover will be,
but the longer it will repel liquids.

Wool Wash Bar
Use a wool wash bar to clean off messes from your wool
cover instead of washing.  Just hang dry.

How to prepare for first use
Wool covers should be washed and then lanolized
before their first use.  See directions above.
