This shows the clipping of the mattress springs on the left. At right the fiber to hold the metal strips in place are added. Note that the fiber contains no chlorine, no formaldehyde. Also note how close the metal is together. This is one indicator of what Ecobaby does to keep the mattress supportive. If you spread them out more, your mattress may sag before the end of the warranty.

At the left is an edge support. These are sturdy metal which gives complete support all around the edge of the mattress. At the right is a layer of organic cotton batting which is placed on first and secured to the edges to provide cushioning from the springs.

Notice how much padding from organic cotton and Pure Grow Wool is added to each side. Here one side is shown. Two heavily thick carded batts of organic cotton and one of the wool. This was placed on top of the already thick layer of organic cotton shown to above right.

The picture at left shows the cotton batt on one side has been covered with a layer of organic cotton fabric and clipped to the spring unit. At right shows the thick layers of cotton batt that is then put on top of that fabric and batt. Notice the organic cotton tape edge has been added for an attractive edge.

At the left the last layer of Pure Grow Wool has been added. This is then carefully stuffed with some extra batting into the corners to provide a smooth corner.

The sides are also pushed in to the organic fabric. The mattress at right is the standard innerspring which has the quilted edge fabric that has been quilted with wool for extra moisture control. Notice the top quilted layer of another cotton batt and another wool batt is placed on top of all these layers for a nice even surface.
