Maclaren invented the umbrella fold buggy (or buggy) over 40 years ago, changing the lives of parents from that point forward. The Maclaren reputation has since been built on its uncompromising high quality, ease of use, light weight and compactness. Designed by our team of engineers and designers in the UK, all Maclaren products must pass our own rigorous in-house testing for durability before we produce them for sale. These standards are higher than those required in the UK/Europe and the US. All Maclaren products are designed with child safety forefront in our minds. Therefore, all Maclaren buggys have a 5-point safety harness to ensure your child stays safely in the seat. We use only the highest-grade aluminium so our buggys are lightweight and very strong. Maclaren invented the 3-dimensional fold, which means the buggy folds forwards and inwards to be flatter and thinner vs. the more conventional 2-D fold, which just folds forward. Product Origins

Based on Maclaren's knowledge as a retired aeronautical engineer and grandfather, the buggy had to be durable, safe, and lightweight. With a combination of modern materials like tubular aluminium, a durable structure that comfortably carries even a fairly large child, and 3D folding mechanism, the buggy weighed just 3kg/6lbs and fit into the same amount of space as an umbrella. The revolutionary design liberated parents from the bulky pram and quickly became an object of design and desire.

phthalates are suspected allergens & carcinogens. We are proud to be leading the way in providing products free of these toxins.

3- Maclaren Recycling Centres are available for used Maclaren Buggys at our Super Service Centres.

4- Maclaren is committed to recycling and to minimizing packaging

Maclaren packaging is comprised of a minimum of 60% recycled materials; Maclaren’s acclaimed beginning line of organic, holistic care for expectant Mums and Babies is packaged in 100% recycled kraft. We’re also working to reduce chemical based colour pigments in printing.

How to activate

All Maclaren 2008 Collection Buggys purchased at an authorised retailer qualify to be registered for the Lifetime Warranty. They must be registered online, at www.maclarenbaby.com within 45 days of purchase, or in the case of a gift, within 45 days of receiving the gift, in order to benefit from the Lifetime Warranty.

If you do not choose to activate

If you should choose not to register your buggy for the Sovereign Lifetime Warranty™, it remains automatically covered by the Basic Warranty.

What it covers

The Sovereign Lifetime Warranty™ covers any manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship, for buggys used in normal conditions and in compliance with operating instructions.

What it does not cover

• Damage caused by normal wear and tear, accident or negligence. Examples include wheels and fabric worn down by regular use and the natural breakdown of colours and materials over extended time and use. Please refer to this instruction leaflet for guidance on how to maintain your buggy.

Maclaren reserves the right to determine if warranty terms and conditions have been met.

Who can register

The original Purchaser, or in the case of a gift, the Recipient of the 2008 Collection buggy, can register online for the Sovereign Lifetime Warranty™, in his or her name.

Where it applies

The Sovereign Lifetime Warranty™is recognised anywhere in the world where there are Maclaren Authorised Service Centres/Service Agents. Whether you’re at home or abroad, you can find a list of local Authorised Service Centres/Agents by checking the local Maclaren website. What lifetime means

“Lifetime” is defined as the period of use by the Registrant for her/his children. Lifetime does not include hand-me-downs or secondary purchases of the buggy.

The Sovereign Lifetime Warranty™ is given in addition to and does not affect your statutory (legal) rights.
