Nursing Pillow Use
Cuddoozle™ Nursing Pillow is easy to use and yet so versatile. When you
slip Nursing Pillow around your waist, baby is supported at breast
level, so you don't need to lean forward, which can cause strain on
your back and neck. You can use Nursing Pillow while sitting in your
favorite rocker or on the sofa. Or bring Cuddoozle™ Nursing Pillow into
your bed to use in the side-lying position.
Cradle Hold also known as the Madonna hold
This is the easiest and most common nursing position. Wrap your arms
around baby and place the base of her head in the crook of your arms.
Support her back with your forearm, and the buttocks or thighs with
your hand. Your opposite hand can support the breast if needed. Baby is
positioned on her side, supported in the comfy nest of Cuddoozle™
Nursing Pillow Mom's arms can rest on Cuddoozle™ Nursing Pillow to
relieve pressure and fatigue. It is very important to position the baby
tummy to tummy so he is on his side with his shoulders and hips in a
straight line facing you. His lower arm can be tucked underneath your
arm.
Football Hold or Clutch Position
The football position is another popular way to nurse baby, especially
if you've had a Caesarean, or if you're feeding a preemie or twins.
Place Cuddoozle™ Nursing Pillow around your waist and sit tall in a
chair or sofa. Baby's head and back are supported along the side of the
Cuddoozle™ Nursing Pillow as you help guide his legs behind you. Your
opposite hand can support the breast if needed. The football hold or
clutch position places the baby alongside the mother in a semi-sitting
position. This position is ideal for small, premature babies or women
with large breasts as well as women who have had a Cesarean and don't
want to place their baby on their abdomen. For the football position,
the Cuddoozle feeding pillow can easily be rotated so the main cushion
is to your side, next to the breast you will be feeding from first.
Place your baby on the pillow, tucking him under your arm and
supporting his head and shoulders. Your baby should be facing your
breast with his nose in front of your nipple.
Side-Lying Position
In this position you can nurse baby while you rest in bed. Use the
Cuddoozle™ Nursing Pillow to support your shoulders and neck, then
cradle baby into your side, pulling his belly close to yours. You may
need a lactation consultant to show you the proper way to nurse in this
position, until you become comfortable.

About Naturally Norcott, Inc.
Cuddoozle™ by Naturally Norcott Inc. was conceived in 2004 by Interior
Designer Margaret L. Norcott, Allied ASID, Assoc. IIDA and her husband,
Guy Norcott, after their first child, Amelia Lee, was born on April
17th 2004.
Everyone is asking how Cuddoozle™
came to be? Well, isn't this how it usually goes: you find a void or
see that something could be reworked and made better and then you
usually let that thought go! Well, Margaret did not let her thoughts go
this time! She jumped at the chance to create a few products that would
make her life, and others, easier and more stylish at the same time!
She Says (Margaret, the Mommy):It all started when I had trouble using the nursing pillow purchased in
2004. The first problem I encountered was my height, as I am 5-10-1/2 "
and the pillow's height did not work for me.
Secondly, the fabrics did not 'WOW' me in the way I thought they
should. I work around fabrics all day in my job as a designer, and felt
that sitting with this nursing pillow around my waist up to five times
a day would end up bothering me. Guess what, it did!
Thirdly, I thought that the baby's 'mess-ups' would soak right through the pillow cover and onto/into the pillow itself...and they did!
Fourthly the product did not give me sufficient comfort and support to easily feed my baby. So I decided to use the Memory Foamfor the outer layers for super soft cushioning and a middle layer of
firmer foam which provided more than enough support for feeding my
baby.
Hence, I saw the need for creating a
nursing pillow to address my concerns...and I thought that many other
mothers must have been having the same experience.
I am happy to say our "Nursing Pillow" is officially Patent - Pending!
He Says (Guy, the Daddy):Margaret's thinking has led to many other creations. My wife has a
talent for taking an item, looking at it and seeing what does not work
about it and how it could work better. She is a true think tank! In the
end, many of the items she feels do not function or look good, well,
she reworks the concept and adds new innovative features to the items
and ~ viola! Margaret also came up with our company motto: "Form +
Function = Fabulous Products", and she borrows part of that slogan from
a famous architect she studied in Design School.
The Future (Margaret & Guy):After the birth of their second child Noella Sophia on July 20th 2007,
Margaret is now using the same product she redesigned 3 years ago.
"We strive to provide items that embrace our motto that "Form + Function
= Fabulous Products!"
"This slogan truly applies throughout my life," says Margaret".
Cuddoozle™ creator now has many products in the development and
re-development stages.
