How to get infant into carrier |
Put carrier on first, buckling waist first, then shoulders. Place baby on one shoulder and gently slide baby’s legs up and over top front of carrier into “pouch”. Let baby settle down into carrier. Adjust. |
Lay carrier on floor. Buckle baby into carrier. Lift carrier onto shoulders (with baby inside) and buckle shoulder straps. Then buckle waist. Adjust. |
Transferring baby from one person to another |
Take baby out. Take carrier off. Second person puts carrier on and then puts baby in carrier. |
Unbuckle waist and shoulder with baby still in safety panel. Pass carrier with baby inside to second person, who then buckles shoulders and then waist. Baby does not need to be removed from carrier. |
How to carry baby or toddler on back |
Buckle waist. Pick baby up and put baby on your hip. Bend over, so your back is parallel to the floor. Gently ease baby from hip to back, keeping one hand on baby at all times. Slide arms through shoulder straps and buckle. |
Put baby on front as normal. To switch baby to back, unbuckle shoulders and waist. Lift one leg and let baby sit on leg while you slide carrier to your back and put on your shoulders (like putting on a backpack). Baby stays inside carrier entire time. |
