Product Origins

The Experts
Darien (Ring Slings): Darien, mother to Zoe and Clark, is President and Founder of ZoloWear, Inc. ZoloWear's core purpose is to bring mothers and babies together, beautifully. ZoloWear was born in August 2001, when Darien stitched up a cool alternative to her homely but well-worn sling. Darien holds a B.F.A in theatre from Southwestern University. She is proud to call Austin, Texas home.
Tanya (Pouches): Tanya is the mother of four children. She is also the president and founder of Kangaroo Korner, an International internet business. Kangaroo Korner designs and manufacturers their slings in Minnesota. They are marketed primarily online through their website, although you may find a store near you that carries their slings, too!
Kelley (Asian Back Carriers): Kelley is a wife and stay-at-home mom to 3 little ones. In 2002 when back pain made her desperate for a more comfortable way to carry her daughter for longer periods of time, she designed a modern-day Mei Tai, the Kozy Carrier, which turned out to be the answer to her prayers. She wears her children daily, in all types of slings and carriers, and has worn them since her first child was born in 2000. Kelley has a degree in English. Besides babywearing her other passions include homebirth, homeschooling, instinctive parenting, and natural living. Her dream is to one day live on a farm in rural VA and homestead.
Tracy (Simple Pieces of Cloth): Tracy is the founder of The Mamatoto Project, a non-profit organization which educates the general public on the advantages of babywearing and teaching babywearing techniques to those who care for infants and toddlers. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychobiology, the study of how biology affects behavior. She has been teaching and advocating babywearing and attachment parenting since 1991. She lives in Texas with her husband and three children.
