Hemp Babies™ Bigger Weeds are made of hemp fleece composed of 55% Hemp, 45% Certified Organic Cotton, serged with natural thread and seamed for easy folding. These are specifically designed to be used as an insert in a medium or large pocket diaper.
They are made of two layers of hemp to ensure they wash clean and dry quickly. Hemp Babies Bigger Weeds fold in thirds for six thirsty layers of hemp absorbency.

Sizing
These inserts measure approximately 16'' x 18'' unwashed. Hemp will shrink significantly after washing.

Care & Content
General Care
After these inserts have been primed (see below), wash with your other diapers.
How to prepare for first use
We recommend washing and drying these inserts four
times
before using for the first time (that's wash - dry - wash - dry - wash
- dry - wash - dry). Unbleached hemp has natural oils in it that need
to be removed before it becomes absorbent. It will take five or more
washings before it reaches its maximum absorbency.
When
washing these inserts the first few times do NOT wash it with your
fleece products (like Happy Heiny's, bumGenius!, or Fuzzi Bunz). The natural oils from the hemp will coat the fleece, making it repel
water. After your inserts have been fully primed you may wash them with
all of your diapering products.

Our Experience
Hemp
is 50% more absorbent than cotton, making it a great insert for heavy
wetters or for night time. Because it is so absorbent, it can be hard
to wash clean and dry thoroughly. That's no problem with these
inserts though, since they are only two layers thick. (Unlike other
hemp inserts, which can be seven layers thick and don't unfold for
thorough washing and quick drying.) You fold the insert in half, which
gives four thirsty layers, and then stuff. This hemp insert is softer
and dries quicker than other hemp inserts we've tried. We only carry
hemp made from hemp fleece, which is more absorbent and softer than
hemp jersey.
