Care & Content

General Care
Wool
is so easy to care for. It should be washed every one to two weeks, or
when soiled. To keep it leak proof, wool should be lanolized about
once a month. Wool wet bags must be hand-washed!
Washing Hand wash with lukewarm water and a tablespoon of Sudz-n-Dudz liquid wool wash. Let sit for up to thirty minutes. Remove from water, roll in towel to dry, squeeze out excess moisture, but do not rinse! Hang or lay flat to dry. Do not rub or wring.
Lanolizing Submerge
the bag, inside out, in a sink full of lukewarm water. Take 1/2
teaspoon of lanolin, 1 teaspoon of your favorite baby soap, and place
both in 1/2-1 cup of water and microwave until the lanolin is runny
(30-90 seconds). Now shake the mixture until it becomes a milky white
color. If there are still visible globs of lanolin in the mixture, add
more baby soap and shake again until the lanolin is completely
emulsified and the mixture is milky white. Pour over your bag.
Swish the bag around in the water, let it soak for 20-30 minutes,
roll in towel to dry, squeeze out excess moisture, but do not rinse.
Hang or lay flat until dry.
The bag will be sticky to the touch for the first day or so.
How much lanolin you add depends on how long you want
to go before relanolizing. The more lanolin you add (up to 1 1/2
teaspoons), the more sticky the bag will be, but the longer it will
repel liquids.
Wool Wash Bar Use a wool wash bar to clean off messes from your wool bag instead of washing. Just hang dry.
How to prepare for first use
Wool bags should be washed and then lanolized before their first use. See directions above.

Product Origins

Made in the USA.
From the maker of Little Beetle products: Fair Trade practices ensure that a decent wage is paid to farm
workers with an additional income for environmental and social
projects. Our newest diaper, the Little Beetle ONE is now fair trade in
addition to organic. Our Little Beetle organic Merino wool covers and
soaker shorts use Mother Nature's ingenious designs to provide a trim,
breathable and completely natural alternative to plastic diaper pants.
Little Beetle Learners (commonly known as training pants) close the gap
between cloth and disposables with an innovative pull-on, snap-off
feature. 100% natural in every way, from the diaper itself to the
optional doubler, diaper cover to pants, trainers/learners, changing
mat, wet bag and wipes, we allow parents to bundle their little one in
nothing but organics.
In 2008, we relocated
all our manufacturing efforts to one location and opened our own sewing
facility. And, yes, we still get the same great fair trade organic
cotton from India. But, now, with production 5 miles from BFB
headquarters, we can respond to demand more quickly, and we can stay on
top of quality issues.
