"You are such a wonderful company.  I was a newbie to cloth 6 months ago and every time I have needed help, you have been there.  Even now... I can call and you patiently help me with whatever I ask.  You take time for the customer and so many companies don't do that any more.  You are definitely a company that I have recommended and will continue to recommend to others for all their baby needs.  Thanks so much Jillian's Drawers."

"Jillians has the best selection of natural parenting products of anywhere I have seen.  The store is meticulously organized, clean, and very parent-friendly/baby friendly (easy access bathrooms and changing area, toys for kids to play with, nursing nook etc.).  They carry all of the best brands (so I never have to pay shipping yay!), and always have sales and promotions going on.  The most wonderful part of Jillians Drawers is their customer service.  It is second to none.  They are the friendliest, most accommodating, sincere people.  I cant say enough good things about my favorite store!  P.S.  Online shopping is a breeze too!"

"I love this store.  Has all the diaper advice I need.  I use trifolds and found that the covers I used for my first daughter just dont work for my second skinnier one!  I also can find great shoes and natural products, like stainless steel sippy cups.  I always have fun there."

"I had read on mom blogs and parenting forums about a 21 day trial of cloth diapers for $10 at Jillians Drawers! Once I got pregnant, I started doing more research and then realized that Jillians Drawers is right in my town! My husband and I went in to see the cloth diapers in person and try to get a feel for what kind of system would work for us. The sales lady was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and spent about 20-30 minutes showing us different types and answering our questions. I also like that they have a registry feature on their website!! The initial investment for cloth diapers can be daunting, so being able to register is really nice!"

Things to do in Ithaca!

Ithaca is wonderful place to visit for families!  Here are just a few of our favorite things to do with our children:

Sciencenter: A small, but truly wonderful science center that has activities for every age!  The Sciencenter has an enclosed area specifically for babies and toddlers to explore vacuuming, water, and shapes.  Besides all the science exhibits, children can watch bees, hold sea stars at the touch pool (at specific times, not every day), see snakes and fish, and play outside.  Allow 2 hours.

Ithaca Farmers Market: Ithacas vibrant farmers market consists of 150 vendors that live within 30 miles of Ithaca.  Saturdays can be very busy.  Sundays are still lively, but may give you more room to walk around.  Enjoy some fantastic food, great music, fun atmosphere, and many high quality, locally made items.  Allow 2-3 hours.

Taughannock Falls: This state park has camping, a marina, beautiful falls, a beach, and is about 15 minutes from downtown Ithaca!  The childrens playground is wonderful, with a unique design.  The best part is the location!  Your children can run around on the playground while you find a shady part under a tree for a pic nic next to Cayuga Lake.  Starting in the summer, enjoy the park on Saturday night with live concerts, dancing, and local wine vendors.  Allow 1-4 hours.

Friends of the Tompkins County Public Library Book Sale: Peruse over 250,000 used books at great prices!  Usually occurs over three weekends, twice per year.  On the final day, all books are $0.10 each!  Allow 1 hour.

Museum of the Earth: Have a child that loves dinosaurs?  Museum of the Earth is part of the Paleontological Research Institute.  This museum may lack large, robotic dinosaurs and lots of hands on activities for toddlers, but this is where to go to get in depth questions answered by true experts.  High quality and in depth exhibits with plenty of real fossils.  Ask about saturday fossil collecting field trips.  Allow 1-2 hours.

Moosewood Restaurant:  World famous vegetarian restaurant.  Just remember they are closed from 3:00 - 5:30, and on busier weekends, youll want to be there right at 5:30 because tables tend to fill up fast.  If you miss the first "round", tables will open up again around 6:30.

Map to our Retail Store

We are located right on the middle of the Ithaca Commons. If you have several places to visit downtown, and want to meander around The Commons, just park anywhere near the Commons and head to the middle. Its the most carefree way to find us the first time! Were across from Waffle Frolic and next door to 10,000 Villages.

Otherwise, for the most direct access, youll want to be on Green Street (one-way street heading east), passing the Public Library on your right and City Hall on your left. Then:

For quick in and out parking:
Simply park in the metered 24/7 parking lot right past City Hall, on the left. Its $1.50/hour, there are almost always spaces, and then youre just steps from our store and the entire Commons. The meter needs to be paid every day of the week.

For longer parking, or free parking on weekends or with purchase from our store:
Turn left into the Green Street Parking Garage right above the 24/7 metered parking. The entrance is right past the Cinemapolis movie theater. Its across from Green Street Pharmacy and Urban Outfitters.

Once you park in the garage, you can take the elevator or stairs down to the ground level and head towards The Commons. Its nice, because you dont have to worry about always feeding the meter.

Street Parking:
Free on weekends and after 6:00 pm, $1.00/hour otherwise. Can be hard to find some days, easy on others. Metered spaces are located on almost all streets surrounding The Commons.
